Adventure Bikes

Love your new adventure bike but hate its suspension? Most adventure bikes have suspension that is far too soft for real offroad riding.  If you just ride your adventure bike to Starbucks, you're fine.  But, if you plan on hitting some dirt roads or trails, you'll need upgrades.  As an adventure rider myself, I know what you need.  Your adventure bike may be too tall for you.  We can lower the suspension to help you feel in control.  Here are some examples of the work that we do for adventure bikes:

KTM 1190R

The 1190 R has high quality WP components, but they are too soft for aggressive off-road riding.

We install stiffer springs in the forks, and compression and rebound valving is firmed up to improve the ride.

The shock gets new valving, too.  Some riders will need a stiffer spring.  We help you determine if the stock spring will work for your weight and luggage demands.

KTM 690 Enduro

The 690 R has high quality WP components, but needs help.  The forks have changed several times over the years, but all tend to have springs that are on the soft side.  Some of the later year forks tend to be harsh on choppy terrain.  The harshness is the fault of the compression valving in the cartridges.

We install stiffer springs in the forks, and compression and rebound valving are revalved to improve the ride.

The shock gets new valving, too.  Some riders will need a stiffer spring.  We help you determine if the stock spring will work for your weight and luggage demands.

BMW F800 GS since 2013

F800 GS models with WP forks are sprung too soft from the factory, and the compression and rebound damping is too soft, too.

Even though those forks have no external adjusters, the forks can still be revalved to better work for off-road and on-road riding.

We install stiffer springs and revalve the cartridge for your weight, and you'll be amazed at the difference.

Triumph Tiger 800 since 2015

For 2015, the Tiger finally got some decent suspension.  The WP forks and shock are quality units, but like most stock adventure bikes, they are sprung too soft and the valving is too soft.

We install stiffer springs and revalve the cartridges for your weight.  The results are outstanding.

The shock is also too soft.  Once again, the stock unit gets a stiffer spring and gets new internal valving.

This bike has been one of the most popular models for our shop.  It has so much potential, but the stock suspension really holds it back.
